SNOWMOBILE ALERT: March 18, 2026

Logging activity is currently taking place along the new bicycle trail corridor between Aurora and Hoyt Lakes. This work is occurring in close proximity to our trail system.

Riders should use extreme caution in this area, watch for logging equipment, truck traffic, and changing trail conditions.

Please slow down, stay alert, and respect any posted signage and active work zones.

SNOWMOBILE TRAIL REPORT: March 18, 2026

Trail conditions vary across the system, with some areas still offering rideable conditions while others are deteriorating due to warmer temperatures.

• Hoyt Lakes to Highway 11: Snow cover remains and the trail is currently rideable.

• Pequaywan to Highway 11 to Hugo’s: Recently groomed and reported to be in nice shape.

• Hoyt Lakes to Skibo Road: Good overall conditions.

• Skibo Road to Railroad Tracks: Multiple bare spots, not recommended for travel.

• Railroad Tracks to Yukon: Fair conditions, with rough sections near The Rock.

• Hoyt Lakes to Gilbert: Rideable, though riders should expect occasional bare spots.

At this time, grooming operations have been suspended. With weekend temperatures forecasted to reach the 40s, trail conditions are expected to decline and riding may become limited.

Please use caution, watch for changing conditions, and please ride safe!

East Range Multi-Use Trail  

As a reminder, the East Range Multi-Use Trail is a shared-use trail, open to ATVs, horseback riders, hikers, and bicyclists - and it’s important that all users treat one another with respect and care. The Ranger Snowmobile/ATV Club proudly maintains this trail for public use. We kindly ask that everyone slow down when passing others, yield when appropriate, and always ride with caution.
