RANGER CLUB UPDATES

TRAIL REPORT: January 7th

A trail inspection ride was conducted on Tuesday to assess current conditions.

  • The route from Hoyt Lakes toward the Yukon Trail is rideable up to the North Shore tracks. Beyond that point, conditions deteriorate due to limited snow cover and the trail being packed but not groomed, resulting in rough riding conditions.

  • The Hoyt Lakes to Highway 11 trail is scheduled to be groomed on Wednesday. Trail conditions will be updated once the groomer operator’s report is received.

  • The Hoyt Lakes to Gilbert trail has been groomed and is currently rideable, though some rough sections remain.

Riders are encouraged to use caution and adjust riding to current trail conditions.

Trail Grooming Update

Trail grooming operations are currently underway.

  • The Hoyt Lakes to Gilbert trail has been groomed and is rideable; however, additional snowfall is needed to further improve conditions.

  • The Hoyt Lakes to North Shore trails have been groomed. The segment from the North Shore trails to Yukon has not been groomed due to exposed rocks and insufficient snow. Riders are advised to use caution in this area.

  • The Hoyt Lakes to Moose Line trail is scheduled to be groomed today or tomorrow.

  • All trails in the Hoyt Lakes area have been groomed and are currently in good condition.

Please ride responsibly and adjust to changing trail conditions.

East Range Multi-Use Trail

As a reminder, the East Range Multi-Use Trail is a shared-use trail, open to ATVs, horseback riders, hikers, and bicyclists - and it’s important that all users treat one another with respect and care. The Ranger Snowmobile/ATV Club proudly maintains this trail for public use. We kindly ask that everyone slow down when passing others, yield when appropriate, and always ride with caution.
